
Travelling with children
Travelling for families. Your children are welcome on Royal Air Maroc flights, they will be given special attention. All staff on board will ensure their well-being and comfort so that your family trip is an enjoyable one.
When flying with Royal Air Maroc your children will have a great time with Magic Universe: special attention, special children's menus and a choice of different toys.
Babies (under 2 years of age) who travel on your lap without taking up a seat have a reduced rate. For your comfort and your baby's we can provide you with a pram. For this, please indicate on the booking application, that you are travelling with a baby.
If you wish, you can also reserve a seat for your baby. The fee will be the same as the rate for children from 2 to 12 years of age. Unless contrary to pricing conditions, the rate for infants aged under 2 years, who are not occupying a seat is 10% of the accompanying adult rate. If they occupy a seat, babies are charged the same rate as children from 2 to 12 years of age.
If you are travelling with a baby, you have priority boarding. Please do not hesitate to let the staff at the airport know that you are travelling with a baby.
Tips for Travelling with a baby- A baby should always be accompanied by an able-bodied adult passenger.
- Before the trip, remember to check that your child has all the documents required for travel .
- A passenger can accompany only one infant.
- For the trip, choose comfortable and warm clothing for your baby.
- During take-off and landing, you can give your baby a pacifier or a bottle to avoid eardrum discomfort.
- During the trip, remember to give plenty to drink to your baby.
- Take enough bottles and a supply of their usual food for the trip.
- It is not recommended to travel with an infant under seven days old.
Children accompanied by an adult aged between the ages of 2 and 12 years from the start of the trip, are subject to a discount on the adult rate and are entitled to an individual seat.
This reduction depends on the destination and the applied rate. For promotional rates, this reduction is not applied.
Items to prepare before the trip :
- Your child will probably want to take with him with a small bag containing his personal belongings (favourite books, cuddly toy, etc.)
- Remember also to provide a sweet or a piece of chewing gum for take-off and landing.
- Please check that you have all the documents required by the police and customs in the country of destination.
Do you have a stroller for your children?
You can transport a stroller for your child at no extra charge.
A stroller, the dimensions of which do not exceed 15 cm x 30 cm x 100 cm, can be taken on board subject to availability in the baggage compartments.
To entertain your children :
All children travelling with Royal Air Maroc are given complimentary items (crayons, colourings, games etc.) to entertain them throughout the trip.

Children aged from 4 to 14 years from the start of trip may travel alone (with a Royal Air Maroc escort required for those under 12 years ) provided a disclaimer signed by a parent or legal guardian is supplied.
Royal Air Maroc guardians
Children aged 4 to 12 years are allowed to travel only if they join the service Accompanying Royal Air Morocco (UM) .
The number of beneficiaries of this exception is limited to four children per unit. For this, they should be mandatory reporting at the time of booking.
They benefit from treatment UM (Unaccompanied Minor) which ensures a constant vigilance staff of the company since registration until receiving the child at the destination .
At the time of registration, an ID pocket is given to the child and the person accompanying performs a " route sheet UM " , which will be signed on arrival by the designated person to recover .
It must necessarily present a valid personal identity valid and sign the " record route UM ."
Payment for this service is required on international flights for unaccompanied children aged 4 to 12 years. This service is optional for children between 12 and 16 years.
The UM's ticket price corresponds to the adult fare plus a surcharge of 50 euros per trip. Moreover, this service is currently free on the domestic flight.
The acceptance of children traveling alone on RAM flights is conditioned by the introduction of the contact data of the persons accompanying the child to the airport of departure and pick it up on arrival, this data must be included in the travel file on UM passenger reservation.
If you require a guardian to escort your child or baby, the request must be made no later than four working days before the date of departure.
The ticket issued will be charged as a normal adult single fare for the trip when the child is accompanied by a guardian.
When a guardian is required for more than one child belonging to the same family under the age of 8, only the ticket for the eldest child will be charged as a normal adult single fare, the tickets for the other children, regardless of their age will be charged at the rate for children aged 2 years or more.
Minor Travel to and from Italy
Minors who are not registered on the parents' residence permit must either: have their own residence permit or have a visa issued by an Italian diplomatic representation.
- Any minor registered on the residence permit of the parent, must travel accompanied by the holder of this residence permit.
- Unaccompanied minors (UMNRs), under 14 years of Italian nationality, must have a parental authorization issued either by a consulate in Italy or by the Italian Questura (Police Station in Italy).
In case of non-compliance with these conditions the minor will be refused boarding
