Casablanca
Avant-garde, cosmopolitan, contrasted and authentic… Discover Casablanca:
Flights to Casablanca
Royal Air Maroc flies to Casablanca every day from the Paris-Orly airport, with more than 6 daily flights and a flight duration of 3 hours. The Mohamed V airport in Casablanca is 30km away from the city centre, which you can reach via rail shuttle service or by taxi.
Food and drink
Admire the seaside view by taking a seat in one of the many restaurants of the Ain Diab district, savouring the delicious dishes of fried fish and seafood. The famous traditional Moroccan mint tea is a great way to refresh yourself.
Cultural highlights
Visit the incredible Hassan II mosque, partially constructed over the sea with its imposing retractable roof. The new medina in the Habous district is another beautiful location to discover, entirely designed according to the traditional model with numerous artisanal shops and arcades. To the east of the medina, the Art Deco district, the home of several monuments which over time have become part of the very identity of the city: the Place Mohammed V, the Arab League Park, the wide boulevards planted with rows of palm trees… At the end of the day, have a wander down the Ain-Diab corniche, up to the El Hank lighthouse.
Shopping
Your shopping spree can start in the old medina at Bab El Jedid, where the little local shops and colourful stalls crowd the streets. Another shopping location that you just can’t miss, the Morocco Mall on the seafront captures the eye. It houses an abundance of boutiques (350), a large shop (Les Galeries Lafayette), a Fnac, a multitude of international labels and a hypermarket. More unexpectedly, it’s packed with entertainment activities (an ice-skating ring, an aquarium, a musical fountain, a 3D cinema) and dozens of restaurants.
