VLUCHTEN NAAR TETOUAN
The most Andalous city of Morocco!
Tetouan, or the "daughter of Grenada", located in the north of the country, is a protector of the arts and antiquity to the modern world. Its medina is registered as a World Heritage Site at UNESCO.
Dominating the valley of the wadi Martil, Tetouan composes, with its crenellated ramparts, terraces and gardens a table of the most endearing. Inhabited, like Tangier, since time immemorial, it invites the visitors to discover its rich past but also its traditional arts. The modern and contemporary arts are also present, recalling that so many painters have passed through his school of Fine Arts before knowing the glory.
The Mediterranean coastline of the Rif has seen the birth of prestigious tourist and residential complexes, which are perfectly integrated in this gentle landscape between mountains, beaches of fine sand and crystalline waters. Marina, cornices, brand new golf and trendy restaurants make it easy for holidaymakers to enjoy the fun and a new resort, Tamuda Bay, is gaining traction. But small fishing villages such as Martil or Fnideq, the old Castillejos, have been careful to preserve their heritage and authenticity.
Among the places to visit are the Paloma Blanca, the Bab Okla Ethnographic Museum, Feddane, Qasba de Jbel Dersa and the Royal Palace.
